Within 35 miles of all that Edinburgh has to offer and less than half an hour from Berwick-upon-Tweed, the cottage is a peaceful haven but allows easy access to a host of activities for all ages. Ideal for walking enthusiasts, the cottage is located at the end of the Southern Upland Way, with the John Muir Way and Pennine Way offering relaxed lowland and coastal walking. The area provides a good base from which to tour the Lothians, Borders and Northumberland.

Edinburgh city centre is 22 minutes by train from Dunbar (8 miles to the north), there you will be able to enjoy the world famous castle, Edinburgh Festival and Tattoo, Holyrood Palace, Scottish Parliament, Arthur's Seat and award winning attractions such as the Royal Yacht Britannia and Dynamic Earth.

Golfing, horse riding, quad-biking, scuba diving, fishing and bird watching are also available nearby.
